Ever take a picture and when you went back to look at it and want to cry because the background ruined it? Okay, maybe it is only me, but it has happened more than once. Using the Gaussian blur to take the background out of play could be just the answer. Let me know what you think. This is one of my favorite pictures.
If you are using an older version of Photoshop, the content aware fill feature is reason alone to update. It is one of the most incredible developments in Photoshop since version 1 rolled out in the early 1990’s. For the most part, I recommend using the version that helps you get what ever job you have done. Let me know what you think!
This demonstration resulted from a question I received in one of my classes about the difference between Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Elements. I used a class exercise for dropping out the background color from a composition to highlight only one color. The effect could be easily achieved in either program.
